Archive have announced a very special one-off Retrospective concert at the ultra-prestigious, 6,000 capacity, Seine Musicale venue in Paris, on May 16th 2019. The show will be filmed and recorded, offering fans the choice of a deluxe Box Set plus DVD, Double Vinyl, CD and Digital formats of the landmark show – all available to pre-order now.
The special concert marks the 25th anniversary of the musical collective’s formation in Croydon, South London in 1994. Eleven studio albums under their belt to date, Archive have headlined festivals throughout Europe and grown in to one of the UK’s biggest live exports to the continent, whilst cultivating a hardcore fan base in their home country.
Archive co-founder Darius Keeler says of the concert “We plan to make it the ultimate Archive gig, we’ve got a huge collection of live favourites to draw from now, 25 years of music! I genuinely can’t wait, and what a stunning venue to hold the ultimate Archive gig in! It’s going to be something very special.”
The concert is the first of a number of major events planned for 2019 to mark the collective’s milestone year.
La Seine Musicale sits in a stunning location on an island in the river Seine, in the western suburbs of Paris. Opened in 2017 the venue was designed by prize-winning architect Shigeru Ban in partnership with French architect Jean de Gastines. The duo previously worked together on another iconic Parisian landmark, the Pompidou Centre.
