BangTower took shape in late 2009 as an instrumental progressive rock and fusion project featuring Grammy winning musician, engineer and producer Neil Citron, legendary bassist Percy Jones, of “Brand X”, percussionist Walter Garces of “The Electric Prunes” and producer Jon Pomplin. The debut “Casting Shadows”, was released by Declassified Records in 2010 and became an instant success, even being named an “Editors Pick” in Guitar Player Magazine.
Following the 2013 release of the single “This is My Town”, the sophomore BangTower CD entitled “With N With Out” was released in late 2016, funded in part through Pledge Music “patrons”. In addition to the original 3 members, “With N With Out” also contains tracks featuring drummer Frankie Banali of “Quite Riot” and bassist Robbie “Pags” Pagliari of “Ohm”, along with a number of other guest musicians. The limited edition CD version features the bonus track, “I’ll be home for Christmas” a cover of the holiday classic recorded by Neil, Percy and Walter.
The 3rd BangTower record, “Hey Where’d Everybody Go?” was released in digital format in September of 2017 and features the return of Robby “Pags” Pagliari on fretless bass, and Frankie Banali on drums, who both first appeared as guests on “With N With Out”.
The 4th record “We’re Listening” was completed in 2018 and is due to be released in winter of 2018 in Digital format and on a limited edition double CD.
