Last In Line

Vivian Campbell, Vinny Appice, Phil Soussan, and Andrew Freeman, collectively known as Last in Line, are set to release their second album, II. With the announcement, the band has unveiled the first single from the record, “Landslide,” and the accompanying music video.

“‘Landslide’ was the first song we wrote for this record,” vocalist Andrew Freeman told Ultimate Classic Rock. “It was really easy to write as all of the parts fell into place quickly. The title ‘Landslide’ is a metaphor relating to the day-to-day struggles that we all go through as people. Trying to keep on course when dealing with adversity, manipulation through media and leadership. It’s meant to inspire strength and resolve.”

As fans await the release of Seth Walker’s tenth studio album, Are You Open?, he has offered up a new sampling of the album. Relix Magazine has the premiere of “Giving It All Away,” a single that sees the singer-songwriter expanding the boundaries of his sound, drawing on his experiences traveling in places like New Orleans, Nashville and Havana.

Walker tells Relix Magazine that this song “was one of the first written in this batch of tunes for my new album and fittingly it’s the first track on the record. Unbeknownst to me when writing it, the song set the tone that runs through much of the album —the sentiment of letting go of it all. Why we try to hold on to the past or any eve n any preconceived notion is beyond me. The song also set the tone for the album sonically and musically. The suspension and release. The Sun Ra school of ‘Space is the Place.’ The one chord jams that weave through much of this album gave us a place and space to sit, simmer, and allow the vibes to come naturally.”

Make sure to check out the premiere, and pre-order Are You Open? along with exclusive merch, signed items, Seth’s own artwork and more.
