New short promo video - Prelude

Dear friends,

hope you are all well! Yesterday, I was walking outside at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, stoped by the Prospect Park Lake and made a few short videos. The lake was so beautiful, the light perfect and the muddy lake immediately reminded me the beginning of my Suite and what it depicts.

The Suite starts with a Prelude that was inspired by the outer panel of the “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Hieronymus Bosch. This part of the painting shows the 3rd day of the Creation of Earth according to the Old Testament. On the top left corner, you may find a image of God and an inscription in Latin “For he spake and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast”. The movement builds slowly, as if the Earth was being formed, ending with an Impressionist gesture that symbolizes the opening of the tryptic and the amazement of watching its interior. In order to give us this impression of darkness where everything is being created from nothing, Bosch uses a green–gray grisaille. Despite the presence of vegetation, this representation of the Earth doesn’t contain any human or animal form. It is commonly agreed that Bosch used this outer panel to set a Biblical stage for the inner panels. If you have a chance, please check the painting!

I hope you can visualize these aspects of the painting, in the Prelude and in this short promotional video that I’m sharing with you. Feel free to share this video with your friends and in your social network. We are on the last days of the campaign and the more visibility it gets the better changes we have to reach the goal!

With warmth,

André

Queridos amigos,
