Amazingly, it’s already been seven years since we released Watcha Playin’ (BPM 2008), our fourth studio album. More remarkable – our debut album, Cool & Steady & Easy (RCA 1995), was released twenty years ago. Time flies when you’re having funk.
We’re celebrating with the release of Funk Aint Ova, our new album. We recorded for the past year and a half in Brooklyn, Birmingham (UK) and Stockholm (Sweden). Album will drop in spring of 2015, to coincide with the re-start extensive touring.
Get your pre-sale copy of the new album right here on PledgeMusic. You can chose from vinyl, CD or a digital download. In connection with the pre-sales, we are also offering sales of original BFE clothing and merchandising products. And for a limited time, we’ll be giving you the opportunity to lay your hands on some very rare Brooklyn Funk Essentials paraphernalia. Or you can even get the band to play and record for you. Anything from a personal dub plate to a full production of one of your songs.
