Just saw a very interesting post on Failure’s Instagram that features a photo of most of their discography and “1994-2019.”

Let the speculation begin. Is this the end? If so, is Pledge in any way responsible? Also, if this truly is the end, they certainly went out with a bang. Such an amazing album, and an incredible tour. I hope there is more to come, but if not, I count myself lucky to have been a very small part of Failure’s journey.

The more I think about it, the less I believe this Instagram post is an announcement of any sort. The first obvious reason being that the first year is wrong (should be 1990, I believe). The second being the omission of Comfort from their discography image. Guessing I panicked over nothing. Whoopsie! ‍♂️

Yeah, Greg recently said he felt like he had 6 more Failure records in him.

yeah, pretty tight last night in Denver as well. I did my share at the merch table that is for sure....
wont speak on the setlist cuz if you are like me you would rather it be a surprise. But the band did great. It appeared Ken may have been a little under the weather, but it didn't show much. Thx Failure!

Great show in Lincoln! I appreciate the Encore The Nurse Who Loved Me. Happy you squeeked that into a great setlist. Safe travels on tour!

The band were absolutely on point in Minneapolis last night. They were super tight and had great energy on stage. The 1.5 hour set was incredible and seemed to fly by. The VIP experience was well above and beyond what I expected. All three guys were very warm, had great stories to tell (including some great ‘Failure in Minneapolis’ stories I hadn’t heard before), and Rebecca (she manages the VIP and their merch table) was very sweet and professional. Do yourself a favor. Support Failure on their tour. Even if you decide not to purchase/re-purchase the new album (thanks, Pledge), go to the show, pick up some merch, and treat yourself to VIP!

I didn’t receive an email about the whole situation.

What a bummer.

My bank is giving me a hard time with the refund. Any luck with anybody using BoA?

I’ve been burned by these funding campaigns like three times.

Definitely the last time I’m doing this.

I understand this is not the band’s fault... but it still sucks.

Next time, I’ll just wait and purchase any release directly from the band.

Hey! That sucks. My bank/credit card company (in Sweden) will probably refund me. But there is a 1% chance that they'll decline my dispute and then charge me some 50 bucks for the trouble.

What's BoA?

Just had a nice conversation with Jeff (the bands manager). It was not necessary for him to take the time for me personally, but he went into more detail on recent postings here, which proved to me that I was wrong about feeling product we funded the albums and now they are simply being sold to other people. It DID seem that way without more knowledge of their side of the situation. But this is NOT the case/its more complex than that. A solution forward to fulfill the physical album getting into pledger's hands, while not totally impossible, looks difficult at this time without Pledge coming up with some money first, and this may or may not change in the future from what I gathered. So let me express my apologies to the band and Jeff for how it initially appeared to me & my initial reaction here. More communication from the bands end, was helpful to understand this situation better.

I wish everyone luck with bank refunds. They are not working for many of us, but perhaps for some.

I encourage everyone to go see this band, I have many times in the past - they are great live. Buy a ticket - if you can, bring your friends, and support them by buying the merch at the shows. As long as work doesn't make it impossible, I will be at the show end of this month.
As a token of my apology - after I post this - I am going to the band's site to purchase the FLAC version of the record. :) Cheers everyone and good luck.

Cool!
My bank, here in Sweden, will probably refund me, but there is a slight risk that they'lldecline my dispute and charge me additional 50 bucks.

This Pledge fiasco has been frustrating but I'm trying to be realistic about this situation. I imagine the band is feeling like they've been kicked in the gut after spending months of hard work recording, let's face it, an amazing album, and about to embark on a tour only to have Pledge pull the rug out from under them and their fans at the last second. I appreciate Rick reaching out to try to fix a crappy situation that is not of their making. Remember, it's Pledge that is 100% responsible for screwing over the artists and fans. I'm also aware of at least one indie record label that is on the verge of collapse partially because of unfulfilled orders from Pledge. Well done Pledge... you managed to screw us all!

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in Dallas and they brought their 'A' game despite playing to a rather subdued crowd. The new songs sound fantastic live! Go see them if you get the chance.

Ash- Pledge hasn't taken any orders in a long time. If you know differently, please inform me.
Why hasn't Failure canceled its campaign? Because Pledge told us the Pledgers would not get their money back any way if we did that. Pledge has NO MONEY. Maybe if/ when it sells, you could get in a cue to get your money back for a canceled order. But how does that help you now? We thought by telling you to tell your bank you ordered a product that was due to be shipped on March 9 and it hasn't arrived or been shipped, your credit card company COULD and in may cases WOULD refund your money. It's not as if the product was supposed to ship to you last October and 90 days have passed. It was supposed to ship to you on March 9. It's working for MANY people so we thought our best chance to MAKE YOU WHOLE, was to get you your money back.

David- here's my email address. rick@favortheartist.com. You can send me your phone number. I assure you I've been talking to pledgers on facebook, via telephone and via email for weeks. Hours and hours of calls. Trying to make lemonade out of a shit sandwich.
