From 1970’s Trespass, through to 1997’s Calling All Stations you can get one or all of these 180g Vinyl re-issues by one of Prog Rocks greatest bands, Genesis.

Genesis formed 1967. The band underwent many changes in musical style over its career, from folk music to progressive rock in the 1970s, before moving towards pop at the end of the decade.

Their discography includes fifteen studio and six live albums, six of which topped the UK chart. They have won numerous awards and nominations, including a Grammy Award for Best Concept Music Video with “Land of Confusion”, and inspired a number of tribute bands recreating Genesis shows from various stages of the band’s career. In 2010, Genesis were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The albums were remastered by longtime Genesis collaborator Nick Davies using the original studio masters and the lacquers were cut at Abbey Road all feature original packaging.

Genesis’ second album and their first for Tony Stratton-Smith’s progressive Charisma label, saw a huge leap forward in the fledgling band’s confidence and songwriting prowess. The only Genesis album on which all band members co-wrote every track, its place in the affections of hardcore fans rests on some terrific performances throughout and most notably on the epic “The Knife”, regularly cited as one of the pinnacles of early Genesis.

By the time of its release in 1972 Genesis were gaining a serious following among fans of thoughtful, progressive rock, as well as garnering a reputation for inspired theatrical live performances. Kicking off with the visceral “Watcher Of The Skies” . “Foxtrot” won over the critics of the time with Sounds declaring it “almost the perfect album”. Over on Side 2, the album closed with the mammoth “Supper’s Ready” a 27-minute composition of many parts: a multi-faceted construction and musical dexterity can still astound today.

Generally regarded by many as the highpoint of Gabriel-era Genesis, “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” was a double concept album charting the story of Rael, a street kid on a quest of self-discovery. It was followed by a mammoth six-month tour featuring some of the most ambitious lighting and use of visuals ever seen in a rock concert environment. Best enjoyed as a complete album, its “The Cage”, “Counting Out Time” and “The Carpet Crawlers” nevertheless remain standouts to this day.

…And Then There Were Three…. is the ninth studio album from the English rock band Genesis, released in March 1978 on Atlantic Records. It is the first recorded by Genesis as a trio of keyboardist Tony Banks, guitarist Mike Rutherford, and singer and drummer Phil Collins, following the departure of guitarist Steve Hackett in 1977. The album marked a change in the band’s sound, mixing elements of their progressive rock roots with more accessible pop music, and Collins contributing to more of the group’s song writing.

Abacab is the eleventh studio album from the English rock band Genesis, released in September 1981 on Charisma Records in the United Kingdom and Atlantic Records in the United States. The sound is more synth-oriented but sparingly arranged, with less of a dense texture than previous albums.

Abacab became the band’s second consecutive UK No. 1 album. It reached No. 7 in the U.S. where it was certified double Platinum for over 2 million copies sold.
