Update on the digital album release, remaining exclusives, and online concert

Hi friends, a few updates on the Pledge campaign:
1) We will be releasing the digital album to you next week on Tuesday, September 2. Woohoo!
2) After September 2 release date, you will no longer be able to purchase any of the exclusive packages available through the campaign. So if you’ve had your eye on an engraved Baby Taylor, a signed copy of “Wishing Well,” or a songwriting consultation, now’s the time to act!
3) If you’d like to get a preview of the album, buy a ticket to the PledgeMusic online concert TONIGHT at 9pm EDT where Jennifer will be playing songs from the new album front to back. Tickets to this concert are limited! http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/jenniferknapp#exclusives

Recap and Photos of Marcy's Private Home Performance

Anyone who has seen Jennifer Knapp perform live already knows that she is a consummate singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Anyone who has seen Jennifer perform already knows that she has a lively and charming stage presence regardless of whether she is performing at an outdoor festival, at a bar, in a sacred space, or any other performance venue. However, hosting a House Concert is an entirely unique experience. In an intimate House Concert setting, there’s a wonderful level of intimacy cultivated between musicians and music fans that just isn’t possible in these larger venues. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to one of Jennifer’s CDs and found myself thinking that I’d love to transport her from my stereo into my living room. I don’t know how many times I’ve found myself wishing that I could turn my living room into a world-class stage for her to perform her heart out. A House Concert gives you the unique ability to do precisely that. In the House Concert that I hosted with my friends Steve & Yvonne, people conversed directly and freely with Jennifer all throughout her set. A few people were able to hear songs performed live that they had never heard, or that they hadn’t heard in many years. In a sense, we all had a stake in the performance. It was something that we were creating together as songs and stories were being freely shared back and forth between Jennifer and the concert guests.

And for those who are truly passionate about music, there is something so compelling about listening to the raw and unvarnished voice of an artist. There was no amplification to tweak aspects of Jennifer’s sound. There was no stage to separate her from us. There was only the sound of her voice and her guitar filling a large living room of gathered music fans and friends. The unfiltered truth of an artist’s talent comes tumbling out in intimate spaces, and the truth of the matter is that Jennifer Knapp rocked the house. And then after the house show, instead of contending with a long autograph line, there was a leisurely reception in which Jennifer and her newfound music fans and friends were able to casually sit and chat and get to know one another. For anyone who is considering a House Concert pledge, I highly recommend it. It will be an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life.
