Hi! Whether you follow my music or just followed a link to this page, I’m glad you’re here! I’m Jess Ray, an artist/producer from Raleigh NC.
Three years ago, I released my debut record “Sentimental Creatures.” The years between have brought plenty of life change and a set of new songs.
I am thrilled to announce my plans for a new album! PARALLELS + MERIDIANS is a full-length project to be recorded and released in two parts this year: PARALLELS – musical dialogues between people and MERIDIANS – musical dialogues with God.
I believe that the best songs come from real life. These songs are the last few years of my life chronicled in music, spanning subjects like – humility and unity, forgiveness and releasing expectations, falling in love and getting married, and all the ways that I have seen God again and again in the scenes of life.
I’m continuing to walk the path of the independent artist, retaining creative control over my sound and voice, but remaining unsupported by any type of music company. The creation of my music continues to be dependent on two factors: (1) my own willingness to work my butt off, and (2) others willingness to believe in me and support me.
I am ready. I hope you are too.
