Got mine just yesterday. Why the long wait? Well, I live on the other part of the globe. haha. This is a very beautiful piece indeed and a must have.

14 Aug: "Can we know in advance that there will be an mp3/flac download if there's a delay with physical copy?"

I'm not sure of the schedule of posting yet - i'm awaiting confirmation from Pledge, so I don't know exact details. 40% of the orders have been fulfilled, but most of the UK orders seem to be lagging behind, and i'm not sure why. I've asked for a full schedule for fulfillment, and when I have that, I'll let everyone know

Thanks Iain. Is there a reason (not being grumpy) why pledgers haven't been offered a download since the delay was first announced? Makes sense in two ways: Eases the blow of the delay (You can listen while you wait) and also lessens the 'collateral damage' of the YouTube issue. I've avoided the YouTube tracks, assuming the CD will be imminent, but a Pledge download would have been 'mine. ..official. ..a preview of my own CD anyway (as per Passages)...

Hey Iain, don't you go changing now you're a tv celeb.

Ha! Unlikely, I must admit. As the years go by, I seem to change less and less!

Good, I don't want to turn on the tv and see you in an Australian jungle eating a wombats ear, while a lone Geordie laughs.

Ref MK. I "GET" the Spotify thing. That's paid too. But uploading it to YouTube... In its entirety before pledgers get their hands on it. Eek. "Provided to YouTube by Absolute Marketing International Ltd"

Hmmm, that looks like an automated process. A lot of those "topic" videos are like that. I certainly didn't sanction the release of it all. Trouble is, these days, it's so difficult to hold anything back. It's deflating, I know. I sympathise, entirely. I guess what I hope for, is that the real fans out there know they're going to be catered for through constant, measured, and in-depth interaction with the band - via our discussions here, for a start! Random folk can certainly watch a youtube video out of the blue, but i'd like to think that the epople who know the story behind the album, who've been able to ask whatever question they need answering....I just hpe it counts for something. In the last ten years, I've had one goal, and one goal only. To shrink the distance between all of you, and all of us. To involve everyone who supports us, and make them feel they're actually invested in this little band of ours. I'm doing my best, and i'm just sorry that little things like this sometimes chip away at the edges. Hey, no-one's perfect.

Seems a case for copyright theft imho. Just a pity as it undermines your attempts to sell products. I'm still happy I've bought mine and would have regardless. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Iain, I saw Mike's post of all the signed sleeves for Voyages so can't be too far away but can you make a quick post/reply to keep everyone up to speed on the expected date for cds to be going in the post. Thanks

Yep - spoke with Pledge yesterday, about doing what I did with Passages - so, an update, even though this project is "done". As ever, it's nice to tie up the loose ends, and keep people informed. So - basic details are: that printing delay cost us a week, and then threw out our won personal schedule. We were all ready to go on a certain day, to do the signing, and then it turns out the stock wouldn't arrive till later - and Mike couldn't make that new date. So, Mike had to do his signing, a week after the rest of us. Not ideal - but we couldn't figure out a way to make it happen sooner! But, all of the stock is signed, and it's gone back to Pledge for fulfilment. I'll check with them too, and get more news on that.

Hey Iain. Lol I've gotten to the point where I'm literally watching the letterbox waiting for 'Voyages' to drop. I've listened to 'Passages' at least once a week since release. I imagine 'Voyages' will be on my mp3 player some time oh yes! Also can't wait to hear what Mike's been doing with some of the Liquidizer tracks. Aah happy days. It's the early 90's again Woo-hoo!! :)

You released the "album" to Spotify before even sending it out, digital or otherwise, to the people who paid for it here???

Artist response
Iain Baker

Iain Baker commented

The release dates for Spotify and download had been organised before the printing delay (see the previous update) and as we also needed to sign everything, that delayed the physical product too. It's annoying for us, and we hope you understand. Overall, we tried to turn this entire project round in just a few months, which is definitely not the norm for crowd funding. We hoped to avoid all of those long drawn out campaigns.
