This book has been compiled by collector’s for collector’s. Jam bootleg’s appear on the likes of ebay often but still some are very elusive or way out of the pocket of most casual collectors. The book has been designed to show as many sleeves (front and back) as is possible with high resolution, full colour photographs. Details of the labels and run-outs will also be highlighted. With a recent influx of Greek bootlegs a line has to be drawn in the sand, so only the best of these will be previewed.
With the recent advent of bootlegs being bootlegged (yes) it will also help the buyer decide if they are chasing an original or not!
With such a niche market of Jam collectors out there this book will be very limited to 500 copies worldwide and with 100 special editions split into two lots of 50 editions.
We very much look forward to this campaign reaching it’s target and being able to bring you the Best Book in the F**king World!
NOTE: The Author’s of this book do not endorse the release or purchase of bootlegs. Please remember, the artists and copyright holders do not get paid by bootleggers and they are not legitimate/official releases. Neil and I are both avid Jam collectors. Like most collectors you ‘must’ have that latest or rare Jam bootleg. We have both have acted as consultants with various Jam projects in the past. Neil published a fanzine entitled Start! which proved very successful. Last year he contacted me about the idea of publishing his fanzine in paperback book format, this came to fruition and has again been a success. Having been asked by publishers to write my own book on The Jam, I was always pipped to the post by others and there seemed little point in covering the same old ground. I’d had it in my mind that a good collectors guide was required, a nice glossy coffee table book. Neil and I discussed it over coming months, binned the idea and then finally decided to go ahead a few months back.
